Taste ‘n’ Tell Valentine’s Lunch

Children’s Aid Club members invite around 200 guests to a lunch, held at a private home of a member or a friend of CAC. The members coordinate the recipes, donate the food, cook, serve, and clean up after the lunch. Members provide all the labor and secure underwriters for expenses like tent rentals and printing, enabling us to put 100% of ticket sales and sponsorships directly into programming.

Our guests get a “Taste” of several different dishes and can “Tell” how to make each dish with the recipe cards. Taste ‘n’ Tell also features a silent auction and raffle baskets of goods and services donated by generous people and companies in the community.

Every dollar raised through Taste ‘n’ Tell is put back into the
heart of the community.

CASF Annual Charity Golf Classic

The Construction Association of South Florida (CASF) hosts an Annual Charity Golf Classic to benefit two local charities. Children’s Aid Club has worked closely with CASF since 2006 and been the recipient of their generosity.  Our Club members organize raffle, silent auction and live auction items for the golf tournament and provide volunteers for the day of the event.

HOW WE DO IT

A day of golf for CASF

The Construction Association of South Florida (CASF) recently hosted its annual "Charity Golf Classic" on May 7, at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club in Plantation, where more than 250 individuals from the construction industry enjoyed a delightful day of golf, followed by an awards dinner, raffles, and silent and live auctions. All proceeds from this annual event equally benefited Junior Achievement of South Florida and The Children's Aid Club.

Sponsors included: Baker Concrete, KM Plaza, ANF Group, Lotspeich Co. of Florida, Whiting-Turner Contracting, Designer's Specialty Millwork and Miller Construction Company.

"It is overwhelming how generous all of the Construction Association members have been, not to mention all of the time and effort they have put into the tournament. It warmed my heart how generous everyone was this year, especially given the economy. We can't say enough of what that means to all the children and families in our programs," said Louise Proffer, president of The Children's Aid Club.

In the last five years, The Construction Association of South Florida has raised more than $495,000 for local charities.
