Each month CAC members sponsor a birthday party for the children who are living at the Broward Partnership for the Homeless shelter.   CAC empowers the parents of the birthday children by meeting with them to plan, personalize and budget the party for their children, giving the parents a sense of ownership and accomplishment.  Each birthday child receives a special gift and all of  their friends and families are invited to celebrate with them.  CAC brings in gifts, decorations, games, and of course, a birthday cake for around 30 people. This has been a very rewarding  experience for all involved.
